They say you eat/shop with your eyes and this collection of deliciousness has visual appeal at every level that will not disappoint our loved up Londoners. There’s nothing lackluster or last minute here. Instead this is a full on dollop straight between the eyes that will set any heart aflutter. From cupcakes to cocktails the magic of Valentines is brought alive with a wonderful sprinkle of creativity and imagination.
Whilst searching for some Valentine inspiration of my own I had a “stop in my tracks” moment when I stumbled across Peggy Porshen in Belgravia. This beautiful Instagram feed supports the mantra I tell my clients that a well thought out brand style and strong visual content will get you noticed. Im already spreading the word!
Macaroon and cupcake heaven from the creative team at The Hummingbird Bakery in Notting Hill. They are a constant favourite of mine when it comes to seasonal inspiration.
Fortnum & Mason take the task of what to buy your other half to a whole new level with this little bundle of ideas for gifts and hampers. In their words think outside the chocolate box for your sweet (or deliciously savoury) significant other here.
There are more creative ways of enticing customers into a restaurant than offers for free drinks and discounting – although the offer of a free glass of Champagne is always welcome in my book! Valentines night is a time when you can really push the boat out. Diners want to be excited and wowed with great food and ambience to create that special and memorable evening out. And the team at Quaglinos have certainly put their creative hats on with their delicious menu including this beautiful dessert creation. Mouthwatering! This certainly deserves a post on Instagram.
A romantic evening out is not always about sitting down for a candlelit meal. The Met Bar in Park Lane are running a cocktail masterclass-for-two which is available throughout February. The stunning but simple photography is what caught my eye.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has an email inbox full of Valentine drivel. Sorry to be rude but most goes straight into the trash. So if you are going to use email marketing as a campaign tactic then this example from Reiss is one great way to grab attention. Simple but beautiful layout that’s all about this amazing and very generous competition. And yes I did enter so fingers crossed!
Happy Valentines Everyone
